Job SummaryPrepare accurate cost estimates for competitive bidding of electrical construction projects. Essential FunctionsReview construction drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates for potential projects.Prepare quantitative takeoffs of quotable materials.Confer with contractors and subcontractors on Scope of Work, Request for Information (RFI), Value Engineering (VE), as well as addenda to project estimates.Provide project budget and detailed scope to Project Managers on all projects we successfully attain.Track bid status and obtain feedback from requesting contractors.Track labor and material history of all projects.Accurately identify scope of projects to be bid.Compile estimates with ConEst software.Develop bid strategy with Management and Estimating team.Compose bid proposals with clear, concise language within bidding deadline.Assist Project Managers with change orders to existing projects.Perform other duties as assigned.
